Make 50 “riddle” eggs and hide them all over a large field or playground. Create an answer sheet (in alphabetical order by the first letter in the riddle) and distribute to any helpers.
Divide the group into teams of 3 or 4 children. They will work as a team to solve the riddles. Give each team a pencil and paper to write down their answers. Also, each team gets two “hint vouchers” which they could use in exchange for a hint to help them solve the riddle. When they want to use a hint voucher, they just have to go to one of the helpers with the answer key. Use them wisely for each team only receives two hints.
Have a time limit. At the end, the team with the most correctly solved riddles wins, although you could give everyone a prize for participating.
