Make a riddle treasure hunt using Riddle Me.
Choose a cookie recipe and print a list of ingredients. Cut the page to separate the list into 1 or 2 ingredients per slip of paper. Put your clues and ingredient slips in some hollow, plastic eggs and hide them in the locations you have selected.
As the hunters find each egg and pull out the clue and ingredient, have them go to the kitchen and put that ingredient into the mix. Then go to the next clue to find the next ingredient.
When you’re all done, you can mix and bake the cookies. Then you could take them to a neighbor, to someone elderly that you know or someone in need.
Here’s a simple chocolate chip cookie recipe you can use, or of course, use one of your own:
Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
(This is a large recipe so you have plenty to share):
1 ½ c. white sugar
2 c. brown sugar
3 eggs
2 Tbsp. vanilla
6 c. flour
1 ½ tsp. salt
1 ½ tsp. baking soda
1 lb. butter or margarine
3 cups chocolate chips (or 3 cups raisins and 1 1/2 cups oatmeal)
Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
